Spring is here!
It rained and hailed for about 24 hours at one point, and that small swimming-pool/puddle next to the house was not supposed to be there haha…. happily those are not OUR apartments!
Easter was great! We had dinner at the Relief Society President’s house, it was delicious! The first thing that I did when I woke up on Easter morning (after praying) was to go open the card you sent me! I loved it 🙂 and the Egg! Sister Gale loved hers too. The Caputo’s Chocolate was a lifesaver, as well as the lemon wafer cookies! I was so happy, and I shared them with Sister Gale (they aren’t gone yet of course!)
Speaking of Caputo’s, I met someone who knew what it was and had been there! Some new members moved into our ward, and when I told her that I had worked at Caputo’s, her eyes lit up, and she raved about how cool she thought that place was! Ah, so many good memories. If you go back there, tell them all that I say hi!
We had a Blitz on Saturday :). That is where all the missionaries in one district pool their efforts to work in one area for a few hours, to boost their number of investigators. So on Saturday afternoon, we all gathered together and worked in our ward boundaries, 6 companionships! When we met up afterward to gather the results, the Zone Leaders said, “We didn’t knock a single door…”– We were very surprised, wondering what on earth they were doing instead of participating in the blitz–“But we met someone on the street, walked down to the church with him, gave him a church tour, and invited him to be baptized, which he accepted for May 17th, and he referred his friends, here is their info.” We could not believe it! They are very powerful missionaries. We then visited the two friends Tyler referred, we taught each of them, and also set them to be baptized for the 17th! Hopes are high!
We are going to have a mission meeting on Saturday May 3rd and Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve will be the main speaker!! Also Elder Lynn G. Robbins of the Presidency of the Seventy and Bishop Dean M. Davies, 2nd Counselor in the Presiding Bishopric will be there! I know it’s going to be an amazing experience to get to listen to them and I can’t wait!
Sorry I can’t write to everyone! I love you all!!! Thanks for all your support!
